Our mission to row for hemophilia reaches beyond the normal scope of simply being unique. Supporting row for hemophilia comes a long way in the battle against hemophilia and helping the bleeding disorder community. A few weeks into our official announcement of our goal, a mother with an eight-year old hemophiliac named Ryan commented on a Facebook post on our page. She had said that her child saw a news program on TV that aired our cause and after seeing Jacob explaining his condition – the kid exclaimed, “Hey mom! He has hemophilia too, just like me!” The child’s joy came from similarity, but indirectly demonstrates the understanding that living with diseases such as hemophilia debilitates the ability to take on certain tasks. With as a far reaching and unique goal, confidence may be limited but becomes limitless in the face of passion – knowing that each stroke will undoubtedly make a positive difference in the world, allowing those who would otherwise live under distress a chance to live life to the fullest through individual care, research, and programs such as Camp Wannaklot that our sister charity organization hosts to help children like Ryan live normally. Let our success be a testament that anyone in the world has what it takes to take on whatever adventure their heart desires.
